Ping a host or yourself
Traceroute: Show path from this server to another or to you
Whois: Domain name lookup
Finger: Get information about a user, ie, username@zzzzz.com

You can also see how our server is doing by clicking on the links below:
  • UPTIME: How long has the server been up and average load.
  • View the Script All of the instructions are in the script itself. (an easy way for my Mac friends to get the script!)
  • Browse the Directory (Note: you can't run the scripts from the directory, view birdseye.txt to see the script)
Be sure to upload the birdseye.cgi file as ASCII if you are moving the script from either a PC or Mac to a Unix server. If you have problems with the script, please check out the Script Troubleshooting Page before writing. Since very operating system is different, please do not write us asking where the various utility programs are located. Please consult with your system's administrator.

After moving this tar (tape archive) file to a temp directory, issue the command:

tar xvf birdseye.tar
Place the birdseye.html file in your html directory, and the birdseye.cgi in your cgi-bin directory.
